Starting October 1, 2024, all foreign visitors planning to enter the beautiful island of Zanzibar via seaport or airport will be required to possess valid inbound travel insurance. This insurance must provide coverage for the duration of your stay, up to 92 days, and is available for just $44 per person.

This requirement is being implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of all foreign visitors and to mitigate any potential risks associated with travel to the island. The policy offers comprehensive coverage for various emergencies, including repatriation, evacuation, and other related contingencies.

It is essential that all prospective visitors make the necessary arrangements to obtain suitable inbound travel insurance from Zanzibar Insurance Corporation through the QR code that will be provided prior to your journey to Zanzibar.

Failure to comply with this mandatory requirement may result in denial of entry at the migration checkpoint.
