The Shira Day Trip is a full-day hiking adventure on the stunning Shira Plateau, part of Mount Kilimanjaro’s western slopes. Starting from Londorossi Gate (2,250m), you’ll drive through lush rainforest and ascend to Shira Plateau (3,500m) by vehicle. From there, enjoy a scenic hike across moorland terrain with sweeping views of Mount Meru and Kibo Peak. Along the trail, you’ll spot unique flora, ancient lava flows, and possibly even wildlife like colobus monkeys and bushbuck.
