Your journey of 2-Day Luxury Safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha or directly from the airport. Following a brief introduction and safari briefing by your guide, you will set off on a comfortable drive to Tarangire National Park, which takes approximately 2-3 hours. Upon arrival at the park, after completing the entry formalities, you will embark on your first game drive. Tarangire is known for its vast herds of elephants, towering baobab trees, and diverse wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and a plethora of bird species. Around midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a picturesque spot within the park, often near the Tarangire River, which serves as a crucial water source for the animals. The afternoon will be filled with further exploration and wildlife spotting, giving you ample opportunities to capture stunning photographs and immerse yourself in the beauty of the park. A day trip to the Ngorongoro Crater from Escarpment Lodge begins early, with a departure around 6:30 AM after a light breakfast or coffee. The lodge, perched on the edge of Lake Manyara, is perfectly situated for the approximately 1.5 to 2-hour scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you arrive at the Ngorongoro gate around 7:30 AM, you’ll be greeted by the breathtaking landscapes of the highlands, where you’ll check in and purchase entry permits.
By 8:00 AM, you’ll start the descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a vast volcanic caldera and one of the most biodiverse areas in Africa.
